Cowlingweb was a free website dedicated to the village of Cowling, its inhabitants, their history, and the surrounding area known as Cowling Parish. The site was launched in August 2001 and maintained regular updates until 2016, before being shut down the following year.
Over the years, the site became home to village notices, thousands of photographs, and an active message board. Many of these remain available as snapshots from February 2002 until February 2017 via the Internet Archive.

The site became far more popular than we could ever have imagined and this would not have been possible without their help and support, as well as that of the wider community.
We're currently exploring ways to archive and make publicly available any remaining Cowlingweb content, including the thousands of photographs (both historic and contemporary) which made up much of the site's galleries and collections.
